For the whole fourteen weeks there was many things I both directly and indirectly gathered from attending this class. I've learnt that designs in general take a lot of effort to produce, starting from the planning and the reason behind it to the principles it needs to have applied. I started off believing that one design could emphasize on exclusively one principle, and quickly learned I was wrong. I've started to practice exploring more than just making one and improving onwards from sticking with it.
After working on several different projects I was finally able to gain some inspiration properly to motivate myself and immensely enjoyed making the design for visual analysis. I was able to gather more focus as other modules were wrapping up and have more freedom to do an art style that was a little new to me. On the other hand, it was the hardest to enjoy creating something so familiar- which was my self portrait. I didn't like that I was so focused on cleaning up the image and using clear shapes and colors that I forgot to enjoy the process and do what I was meant to do in the first place.
However, by completing that project I learnt that I just wasn't ready in general to be creating something too meaningful. I wanted to excel, and disappointed myself in the process instead of appreciating how far I've come when I felt others doing better than me. Luckily, I understand that we're all different people with different skills or experiences. So while nothing has changed regarding my determination, I have changed how I explore designs and how I perceive the design world.
