INTRO | Tell us about yourself |
PARAGRAPH 1 | What is your passion? My passion is to create. There’s nothing more to it, I’ve always enjoyed things like drawing or making little stories for my friends and myself. I’ve had troubles knowing who I am or what I want. I’ve never felt like it was necessary to know, but now that I have figured out little by little what I enjoy, I’m being pulled away from it to focus on the next stages of my life so quickly. |
PARAGRAPH 2 | What motivates you to achieve your dream? I’m motivated by the thought of how things could be if everything works out right. My dream is really just to let others know when to take a step back and realize that nothing really matters, but in a positive light. My dream is letting everyone experience the same joy I have from living. |
SUMMARY | How do you want to visualize your dream into an artwork? I want to replace my entire head with violets or purple colored plants. If I had to make it really obvious that I’m experiencing changes, I’d think of making sure both the city and large meadows are visible. |
INTRO | Tell us about your work |
PARAGRAPH 1 | What is the concept behind it? The concept is that I, symbolized by a violet is either pulling away or slowly going back into the ground. The soil or grass is a way to symbolize the past I see as ideal. The farther the flower is from the ground the more it reaches sunlight and grows. |
PARAGRAPH 2 | What is the message you want people to understand? I want people to understand that the changes I’m going to experience really soon is frightening yet exciting me. I won’t be able to return to what I had before for a really long time, and I’m glad about moving forward, but a larger part of me wants to stay behind, attached to my soon-to-be previous life. Being attached to a certain past isn’t necessarily bad, and sometimes even calming. However, sometimes it ends up burying us and being unable to let go will be a burden to our future endeavors. |
