Project 2

EXERCISE 1 - MINTS

The first exercise we were given in class was to edit a video using Adobe Premiere Pro. The clips were provided to use through google drive. For this exercise, the order of the clips was not randomized, our only task was to combine them and familiarize ourselves with Premiere Pro.

EXERCISE - DORITOS

One of the main individual exercises was to do something similar to the first exercise. However, the set of clips is in a random order for us to figure out. Here is my older version of the Doritos advertisement.

SHOOTING EXERCISE - FRAMING

In week 2 we were instructed to apply what we've learned in the lecture by shooting different framings. I wasn't able to attend class in time, so I opted to ask my friends to help me out after classes. It turned dark quickly so we finished the shooting the next day while we were out during the KL Familiarization Trip organized by Taylor's Student Welfare.

The other exercise given in week 2 was to exercise cutting clips together using the plot of 'Lalin'. Below is my editing work.

Reflection

This project was full of knowledge regarding the history of videos and entertainment in the form of visual recording. I was able to learn how to use the camera and observe a setting where everyone worked together to create a video. I enjoyed most of all the editing process.

If there was something I could change, I would try to avoid being passive regarding asking questions and asking what I want to do, as I would regret missed opportunities.
